Inspection Requests and Scheduling
All Building Department Inspections are to be submitted via the Permitting and Licensing website:

To Request an Inspection:
- Log into the Permitting and Licensing website
- Go to "My Account"
- Then "Inspections" on the left-hand side
- Choose the record for which you want to schedule an inspection
- Choose the blue "Request Inspection . . ." button
Requests must be submitted one hour before the close of business to be put on the schedule for the next business day.
Town Hall Hours
- Monday: 8 am to 4:30 pm
- Tuesday: 8 am to 4:30 pm
- Wednesday: 8 am to 4:30 pm
- Thursday: 8 am to 4:30 pm
- Friday: 8 am to 12 pm
Holidays
- There will be NO Inspections scheduled on dates the Town offices are closed.

- Monday to Thursday, 3 pm to 6 pm, and Friday 8 am to 10 am, unless otherwise noted

- Monday to Friday, 2 pm to 5 pm, unless otherwise noted

To Schedule an Inspection:
- Choose the calendar date (this is the date you would like the inspection to take place)
- Directly next to the Calendar, there is a COMMENT box - you must include the following information in the COMMENT box to have your inspection scheduled:

*1/16/2025 Reminder to Licensed Installers: On ALL projects with Natural Gas or LP Gas piping to appliances, there MUST be a green tag of approval installed by the Plumbing/Gas Inspector on said piping BEFORE any gas can be turned on! Failure to adhere to this code requirement will result in the installer's name and company being reported to the State Plumbing Board for disciplinary action.
Missing information or incomplete requests cannot be scheduled. The request will be cancelled and will need to be re-submitted correctly.

If you have submitted a request and did not receive a confirmation that the inspection has been scheduled, please check your email first, then call the Building Department at 508-699-0100 ext. 2527 if necessary.
Note Change for Electric: Effective 27 March 2024 - Licensed Electrician will need to be present for all inspections in Multi-Family Units (3+).
Note Change for Plumbing and Gas: Effective 6 Feb 2024 - Licensed Plumber must be present for all inspections in Multi-Family Units (3+).
Note: Inspectors do not call ahead before going out on inspections. Someone over the age of 18 must be present for inspection. If the inspection fails, the Licensed individual must be present for re-inspection.
CANCELLATIONS: If you need to cancel or reschedule an inspection, please CALL THE OFFICE at 508-699-0100 ext. 2527 and leave a message.
Solar Panels (Residential and Commercial) require an electrician to be onsite for inspection.
All Commercial Work: G.C./Licensed individual must be on-site at the time of the inspection.
