[ARCHIVED] Drought Alert from Energy and Environmental Affairs

MA Level-2-Significant Drought Infographic

July 12, 2022: Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Secretary Bethany Car declared a Level 2 – Significant Drought in the Connecticut River Valley, Central, Northeast and Southeast Regions, a Level 1 – Mild Drought in the Western and Islands Regions, and Normal conditions in the Cape Cod Region. Conditions have worsened across most regions of the state and spread westward. Read more on our drought status page. This declaration will remain in effect till the next declaration in August.
