The North Attleborough Police and Fire Departments would like to recognize its dispatchers during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. North Attleborough's dispatchers are integral public safety team members, even though they are often unseen, as they're the first people community members come into contact with when calling 911.
Our dispatchers always come through for police and fire and meet all challenges head-on without hesitation. We are continuously thankful for their hard work, dedication, and constant professionalism in the midst of crises. They are the backbone of our public safety operations, and we thank them for all they do.
The second full week of April (April 14-20) is recognized as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. This week, sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and celebrated annually, honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.
