Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Human Resources Department to provide quality customer service to all employees and the general public for all Human Resources needs in the areas of; employment, recruitment, hiring and selection, benefits, compensation, training and development, labor relations, employee relations, labor negotiation, worker's compensation and unemployment. We are committed to providing information, resources, support and, council to all School Department and Town Government Departments with a high level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality and sensitivity to the needs of the customers we serve. Currently, the department provides Human Resources support to the School Department made up of approximately 840 employees with 6 labor contracts and Town Government with approximately 630 employees and 7 labor contracts.
