Mission Statement
Culture works through the arts, humanities, and sciences to enrich communities, grow the economy, increase accessibility, and foster individual creativity.
The North Attleborough Cultural Council (NACC) is a grassroots organizationsponsored by the Massachusetts Cultural Council that aims to advance the community's creativity and quality of life.
The North Attleborough Cultural Council pursues our mission through grants, education, special events, community initiatives, and generous people like you.
We believe in the power of culture.
Council Goals
The North Attleborough Cultural Council organizes the annual Paint North Attleborough Beautiful event and the Summer Concert Series. We create community engagement activities aligned with our four key goals.
- Enrich the community with town pride
- Grow the economy
- Provide accessibility to arts and grants
- Foster individual creativity
Grants
The largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, the Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program enriches the cultural life of all cities and towns in Massachusetts. Led by municipally appointed volunteers, LCCs award $7.5 million every year, supporting 7,500 cultural programs that include everything from field trips to lectures, festivals, and dance performances. Each year, the North Attleborough Cultural Council (a registered LCC) uses a strict guideline developed by the state and town and reviews grant applications to decide on funding that benefits town residents.
