Exciting Community News!
The North Attleboro Conservation Commission and Keep North Attleborough Beautiful are excited to announce a collaborative project at the Martin Conservation Area at the end of Wild Acres Road. The Martin Area borders lower Falls Pond and offers a relaxing venue among the pine trees for all to enjoy. The passive recreation project will feature new hiking and walking trails, a family picnic area, a canoe and kayak launch, nature observation, and fishing. We have also partnered with Friends of the Ten Mile River and the local Boy Scouts to complete this project for the community.
Work has started and we thank you for your patience as we continue to finish the trails, signage, and picnic area over the next couple months. This property is designated as a “carry-in, carry out” area as there will be no receptacles for trash. We ask that you respect these rules, keep dogs on a leash, and pick up after your pet.
The improved and expanded Joseph W. Martin, Jr. Conservation Area will be “opened” at the end of the summer.... we look forward to seeing you there.
